Here is ChristChurch Cathedral. When I took the tour back in the day they told me that it was built for the French-speaking Normans. Apparently a lot of the designs used for the Salt Lake, Logan and Manti temples came from ChristChurch. It's currently an Anglican Cathedral - oddly enough, the Catholic Church recognizes ChristChurch still as Dublin's cathedral (hence they haven't built another official cathedral - they have a proto-Cathedral though).

This is St. Patrick's Cathedral that apprarently was built for the Gaelic-speaking people who lived outside the city walls. It's Anglican as well. Jonathan Swift was the Dean (Gulliver's Travels).

When you go to Synod Hall (top left photo) you can go to Dublinia (shows presentations of Viking Dublin) and then look out from the top. These bricks show an outline of an old Viking dwelling.

Just outside ChristChurch there are remains of Dublin city walls from 1240!
