These were the words of John F. Kennedy as he and 'the West' declared to the people of West Berlin that they would not be abandoned to the tyranny of the Soviet Union! (Unfortunately, Pres. Kennedy by using the article 'ein'(a) in front of Berliner, made the word refer to a jelly-doughnut that most Germans refer to as 'Berliners'.) I therefore declare, just as he did, that I will not abandon Berlin....'I AM A JELLY DOUGHNUT!!'
